In the lead up to Mother’s Day, Saint Cloche Atelier continues it’s special series with new works by Giorgia Bel.

In this body of work, the figure is gently held within the landscape, emerging slowly through layered colour and softened form.

There is a sense of care in this process, as if the body is being carried by memory and place. Forms remain partially obscured, suspended between presence and disappearance.

Bel’s practice draws on memory and imagination, creating atmosphereic terrains where body and landscape merge, held in quiet relation.

Presented as part of our Mother’s Day series, the works reflect on presence, connection, and the subtle ways we come to know ourselves through others.

“The figure emerges slowly for me—it’s never something I place all at once. It comes through the surface, as if it’s being revealed rather than constructed.

I think of the body as held within the landscape, not seperate from it. There is a kind of care in that—a gentle nod to our desperate need for the life it bears.
